Porsche introduced the Vision 357 Speedster for the 30th anniversary of the Festival of Speed in Goodwood. It is a roofless version of the Vision 357 vehicle, which made its debut on the automaker’s 75th anniversary. The number 357 in the name of both concept cars, as well as in the design, is borrowed by Porsche from the model 356 – the first production series of the manufacturer, which hit the roads in the summer of 1948.

Although the 357 model is intended as a tribute to this original Porsche vehicle, the designers opted for electric propulsion. The technology of the new Vision 357 Speedster is based on the Porsche 718 GT4 e-Performance model.

What are the specifications of the Speedster?

Unfortunately, the exact technical specifications are not known. However, we can assume that they will be very similar to the Porsche 718 GT4 e-Performance, which the Vision 357 is based on. It is likely that the Vision 357 Speedster will be equipped with an 80 kWh battery, which can be charged from 5% to 80% in 15 minutes.

Thanks to the electric all-wheel drive, the Vision 357 Speedster will be capable of reaching a maximum power of up to 800 kW. The Porsche Vision 357 pays homage to the first Porsche production series, Ferry Porsche’s sports car dream. And since the model 356 has been engraved in the collective memory of the brand as both a convertible and a coupe, the same logic applies to this concept vehicle – there can only be two.
