The Dodge Charger is one of the most iconic muscle cars of all time. It's been a staple of the American automotive landscape for decades, and it's known for its powerful performance and aggressive styling.

Now, Dodge is bringing the Charger into the electric era with the all-new Charger EV. The new model is set to be released in late 2024, and it promises to be a worthy successor to the original.

Exterior Design

The Charger EV looks like it’s been ripped straight from the pages of a comic book. It has a long, sleek profile with a wide stance. The front end is dominated by a large grille and a pair of sharp headlights. The rear end features a sloping roofline and a pair of muscular taillights.

Interior Design

The Charger EV’s interior is equally impressive. It’s spacious and comfortable, with a high-quality fit and finish. The dashboard is dominated by a large touchscreen infotainment system. The seats are supportive and well-cushioned.

Performance

The Charger EV will be available in three different trim levels: Base, R/T, and SRT Hellcat. The Base and R/T models will be powered by a 400-volt system with 455 horsepower. The SRT Hellcat will be powered by an 800-volt system with over 700 horsepower.

Pricing

Dodge has not yet announced pricing for the Charger EV. However, it’s expected to start at around $50,000.

The Dodge Charger EV is a powerful and stylish muscle car that’s sure to turn heads. It’s the perfect choice for anyone who wants the performance and excitement of a traditional muscle car with the efficiency and environmental benefits of an electric vehicle.

My thoughts

I think the Dodge Charger EV looks absolutely perfect. It has the classic muscle car styling that I love, but it also has the modern touches that I expect from an electric vehicle. I’m particularly impressed by the aggressive front end and the sloping rear end.

I’m also excited about the performance of the Charger EV. The Base and R/T models should be plenty powerful for most people, but the SRT Hellcat will be a real treat for enthusiasts.

I can’t wait to see the Charger EV in person and take it for a test drive. I think it has the potential to be a truly iconic muscle car.
