The wait is almost over. The much-anticipated Rivian R2 electric car will be unveiled soon, and according to new information, it will also be available in Europe.

What do we know about this upcoming electric car, when will it be unveiled, and how much will it cost?

Rivian is coming to Europe

The Rivian R2 will be unveiled in less than three weeks. In preparation for the reveal, the company is still releasing new information about its upcoming car, but it is still keeping most of it under wraps. However, the company has now created a special page on its website for this purpose, where it has revealed that the new car will also be heading to Europe.

According to the page dedicated to the model, the Rivian R2 will be unveiled on March 7, 2024. The event will be streamed live, starting at 7:00 PM CET. The company will also reveal the pricing and delivery times for the new electric car in the United States and Canada.

How much will the new Rivian R2 cost?

One of the main questions surrounding the upcoming Rivian R2 is its price. The R2 is set to be a more compact and affordable version of the R1S SUV. So it is logical to think that its price will also be lower. The automaker recently reduced the price of both its cars, so the Rivian R1T now starts at $71,700 and the R1S at $76,700.

The expected price of the new R2 is around $40,000 to $60,000. This price range would make sense for this more compact car, which will try to position itself in the market as a mid-size SUV. However, it is important to note that this is still speculation. We will soon learn all the important information officially.

The electric SUV was reportedly spotted filming in downtown LA last Thursday.
