Dodge Unveils Electric Muscle Car: The Charger Daytona

Dodge has unveiled its first electric muscle car, the Charger Daytona. The car will be available in both sedan and coupe body styles, and it will offer two performance variants: the R/T and the Scat Pack.

The R/T will have 370 kW (496 horsepower) and 475 lb-ft of torque, while the Scat Pack will have 500 kW (670 horsepower) and 627 lb-ft of torque. The Scat Pack will be able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.3 seconds, which is faster than the gasoline-powered Dodge Charger Hellcat Redeye.

Both versions of the Charger Daytona will be powered by a 100.5-kWh battery pack. The R/T will have an estimated range of 317 miles, while the Scat Pack will have an estimated range of 260 miles, will have a dual-motor all-wheel drive system, will also come standard with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

The Charger Daytona will be available for purchase in the fall of 2024. The R/T will start at $59,995, while the Scat Pack will start at $79,995 and will be built on the Stellantis STLA Large platform.
