Apple fans looking to upgrade their tablets won't have to wait much longer. According to a report from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple is planning to release its new iPad Pro and iPad Air models in early May.

This news comes alongside reports that Apple’s “overseas suppliers have ramped up production” of the new devices.

The rumored launch window is a shift from earlier expectations. Initially, many anticipated a March or April release for the new iPads. This delay is likely due to software finalization.

So what can we expect from these upcoming iPads?

Here’s a quick glimpse:

  • Display Upgrade: The iPad Pro is rumored to receive a major display upgrade, featuring OLED technology for the first time in an iPad. This would bring significant improvements in brightness, sharpness, and power efficiency.
  • Size Matters: The iPad Air lineup is also expected to expand, with a new, larger 12.9-inch size joining the existing 10.9-inch model.
  • M Power: Both the iPad Pro and Air are expected to receive a performance boost with the inclusion of the latest M3 chip.
  • Accessory Evolution: New versions of the Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil might also be unveiled alongside the new iPads, potentially with features optimized for the upgraded devices.

With the official announcement likely coming soon, Apple enthusiasts won’t have to wait long to see all the details of the new iPad Pro and Air.
