Forget the floppy disks and neon; Acapulco on Apple TV+ is the genuine throwback you need! This bilingual comedy, which follows Máximo Gallardo’s funny (and often messy) voyage to Acapulco’s hottest resort, has become a favorite among editors.

Three Seasons of Paradise (with a Twist)

Part 1 (2020)

Introduces young Máximo, eager to impress at Las Colinas in 1984. We laugh as he navigates resort life, guest demands, and a blossoming romance, all while chasing his dreams.

Shows Máximo climbing the ladder, but at a cost. Relationships are strained when the past and present intersect, with an older Máximo reflecting on decisions made in a Las Colinas that feels very different from the one he recalls.

Part 3 (2024): The Past catches up

This season, which airs new episodes every Friday, brings Máximo’s prior mistakes to light.
