“The upcoming new generation of the popular Toyota C-HR model promises to be a refined compact SUV, featuring sharp design curves and a range of cutting-edge technologies,” says Toyota. The first teaser reveals that it will be more than just a minor facelift, indicating a significant change.

The official unveiling and complete design and technical specifications of the new generation Toyota C-HR (2024) crossover model are scheduled for a global premiere on Monday, June 26, 2023, at 8:00 AM (GMT), exactly two weeks from now.

Ahead of the planned premiere, Toyota has released a teaser showcasing a glimpse of the iconic model’s new appearance. Currently, we only have a view of the rear of the new C-HR, which features a distinctive and interesting change: connected taillights creating a new lighting signature.

As recently reported by Carscoops, a camouflaged version of the new C-HR model was tested on the Nürburgring circuit. The production version of the vehicle is likely to bear a design resemblance to the Toyota C-HR Prologue concept, serving as a reference for Japanese designers. It seems that many elements have been successfully incorporated.

We can also expect a plug-in hybrid

Perhaps even more exciting than the design are the planned powertrain options. In addition to the conventional petrol and hybrid versions, the Toyota C-HR (2024) is set to arrive in a plug-in hybrid configuration. There are also purported plans for a purely electric variant, an electric vehicle, in the future. The new generation of the C-HR will be manufactured in Turkey.
