User Trap! Don’t even try the new social network Threads by Meta

New-Project-26

Meta launched its latest service on Thursday, the social network

Threads, which has already attracted a significant number of users. However, for those who signed up and for some reason wanted to leave, a nasty surprise awaits. What should you watch out for?

Threads and Instagram are more interconnected than we think According to Mark Zuckerberg’s post, nearly 10 million users joined the Threads app within seven hours of its launch. The login process was facilitated through Instagram, as the two platforms are directly linked. To such an extent that you can even lose your Instagram account.

If users now visit Threads, sign in, but then want to delete their account, they need to be cautious. By doing so, they will automatically delete their Instagram account as well, as stated in the contractual terms, as reported by TechCrunch.

A Solution May Come Soon Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri commented on the situation, stating that Threads and Instagram currently function as one account. If users are not interested in Threads, they can hide or delete all their posts. He further assures that the company will focus on addressing and resolving this issue.

Threads is currently unavailable in the EU, as Meta could face privacy-related challenges. Despite Europe’s absence, Mark Zuckerberg hopes that his new network can rival and even surpass Twitter. Only time will tell if it can truly achieve that.
